AMERAL Global was set up by a group of international mining executives with the sole purpose giving back to the countries they have worked in for the past 35 years. Our goal is the localization of mining support services skills in the countries where we operate.
Too often in Africa, foreign-owned companies come into a country and set up a “local” business which is owned and run totally by foreigners or expatriates. It is always the intention that these companies pass on their skills to locals, but more often than not this is not the case, or it happens in a small way, with key positions being held by expats.
AMERAL seeks to reverse this & have a local owner in each country who understands the culture & conditions, is part of the community and has a passion to give back to the community in which they come from and operate. They want to build a local company which is sustainable with local skills and assets.

AMERAL Congo is 100% owned by Congolese businessman Didier Kayeye.
AMERAL Global assists the local company AMERAL Congo in sourcing the supply of skilled services from anywhere in the globe that can best provide the service. However, the difference between AMERAL Congo and other companies is that the local owner, Didier Kayeye, has a direct interest and benefit in ensuring that the skills are localized and a local business is built up with local people and assets that are sustainable.
